I’ll like to start with the definition of a Communiqué. A communiqué
is very different from a report.
I remember
once I was contracted to write a communiqué for a very high placed forum in
Nigeria. After the program, the organizers asked if I included all the names of
the speakers and I answered “no”, when asked “why”, I told them I was paid to
write a communiqué and not a report.
So, what is a communiqué in the real sense of it? The
content, that is, the style used in the write-up will define if it’s a communiqué
or a report.
